Every wedding needs to be perfect, at least in the eyes of the bride and groom, and perfection is hard to achieve when you don’t have a lot of experience in the matter. When you throw a dinner party you know that once you’ve thrown a few you’ll have the basics down and it’s going to be a lot smoother than when you do it the first couple of times. The same thing applies to weddings, only you really don’t get any trial and error. Even with rehearsals and everything, you only really get to do it once and it’s not guaranteed that everything will work out right.
So what is the best thing to do in this situation? You enlist the help of someone who has experience organizing weddings or, at the very least, experience organizing similar events. It’s great if you have a friend or someone in the family that can help you out with these kinds of things. If not, you’ll have to hire a wedding planner. Some people are afraid the wedding planner will take over their wedding and pick everything from the food served at the reception to the color of the bride’s wedding garters, but it doesn’t have to be this way at all.
